Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This website, buildwithasg.com (the "Site"), is operated by a company operating as Adaptive Systems Group ("ASG", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language. If you have questions about this policy or your information, you can reach us through our contact page.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to people who visit the Site and to people who use our conversational diagnostic tool or otherwise contact us through the Site.

What we collect

Information you give us directly. When you use our diagnostic tool, or otherwise contact us, we collect what you choose to provide. This typically includes your first name, your email address, your business name and website, and the details you share about how your business operates during the conversation. The full text of your diagnostic conversation is saved.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, standard technical information may be collected through analytics, including your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site. We use Google Analytics for this, described under "Cookies and analytics" below.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health information, and we ask that you not share such information in the diagnostic conversation.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the diagnostic tool and generate an assessment for you.
  • Respond to you, follow up about your enquiry, and discuss whether we can help your business.
  • Send you a summary of your diagnostic conversation and related communications.
  • With your consent, send you marketing emails about our services, described under "Email and your choices".
  • Understand and improve how the diagnostic tool and the Site perform, including reviewing conversations to improve the tool.
  • Keep records, and meet legal and security obligations.

How the diagnostic tool works

Our diagnostic tool is a conversation powered by a third-party artificial intelligence service (Anthropic). The text of your conversation is sent to that service to generate responses and, after the conversation, to categorize it so we can improve the tool. Your conversation is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. We do not use your conversation to train third-party AI models.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, and only as needed for them to provide their service to us. These include:

  • Supabase, which hosts our database and stores diagnostic conversations.
  • Anthropic, whose AI service processes the diagnostic conversation to generate responses and categorization.
  • Resend, which we use to send transactional emails such as your conversation summary and our replies.
  • Brevo, which we use to manage and send marketing emails to people who have opted in.
  • Google Analytics and Google Search Console, which help us understand Site traffic and performance.
  • Vercel, which hosts the Site.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

Email and your choices

Transactional email. If you use the diagnostic or contact us, we may email you about your enquiry, including a summary of your conversation. These are not marketing emails.

Marketing email. With your consent, we may add you to a marketing list and send you emails about our services and related content. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you marketing email, though we may still send you necessary messages related to an active enquiry or engagement. We handle email consent and unsubscribe requests consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the Site to function. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help us understand how visitors use the Site, for example which pages are viewed and how people navigate. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where a consent banner is presented, through your choices there.

How long we keep information

We keep diagnostic conversations and contact information for as long as needed to follow up with you, run our business, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. We keep analytics data for the retention period set in our analytics tools. You can ask us to delete your information, described under "Your rights".

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent for marketing. To make a request, reach us through our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law. If you are in Canada and have a concern we have not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Where we process your information, we rely on your consent for the diagnostic and for marketing email, and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business. Your information may be transferred to and processed in Canada and the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country. To exercise your rights, reach us through our contact page.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site and the diagnostic tool are intended for business owners and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
